This was in the parking lot at my work this morning.

This started off as my personal blog and then the spiders just took over…

So, those of you who are here for the spiders, go add my actual spider page:

Me, at 29 years old…

I had let myself go. I had “love handles” and a gut so large that it was the first thing people would glance at when they saw me and make comments like, “When’s the baby due?”. I played it off like I didn’t give a shit but I was embarrassed. At age 29, everything had finally caught up to me. I was doomed to look like Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog for the rest of my life.

But 5 months ago—just before my 30th birthday—I started eating healthy, running 2 miles everyday, and working out. Over the span of about 5 months, I lost about 20 lbs. total and all of the gut is pretty much gone now. No super-special diet, I just stopped eating fast food all the time and worked my ass off.

In the beginning, I feared that I wouldn’t have it in me to get back in shape but I’m glad I had what it took. I’m actually signing up for Muay Thai classes in the next couple of months to provide me with some much needed discipline and to give my self-confidence a boost. Should be fun!

I don’t really ever talk about myself on here so I thought I would share this. Now…back to your regularly scheduled tarantula pics. Ha!

“I don’t like guys that take pictures of themselves with their shirts off in front of the mirror…douche bags,” says the girl who takes pictures of herself in tiny bathing suits and puts them on dating websites.
